eProduction takes your privacy very seriously.  Privacy is a very difficult job in a site which is intended to disseminate information.  However, the software has been specifically designed with privacy in mind and to prevent or at least discourage the abuse of personal information.  Please read the below privacy policy to learn more.

What this policy covers:

• This policy covers how eProduction (TheatreProduction.com) treats all personal information it collects.  Personal information covers that information which is personally identifiable such as name, address e-mail address, etc. that is not always publicly available.
• This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that eProduction does not own or control or people that eProduction does not employ or manage.

General:

• When a theatre registers a user or when a user registers him/herself, personal information is collected.  In order for a theatre to manage a production at least your name must be entered.  Because actor and technician's names are published, your name and associated role are considered publicly available information.
• When a theatre casts a user in a show, the theatre may lookup your record based upon some of your personal information.  This information includes name, e-mail address, city, state and zip code.  This information does not include your street address or telephone number.  Your e-mail address may be used for this lookup regardless of your setting to suppress e-mail.  It is therefore possible for a member of a theatre organization to associate your e-mail address with your name.
• When a theatre sends audition notices to members who have opted-in, the system allows the theatre to select all those users within a certain geographical radius from the theatre's location.  This is done without displaying your street address or e-mail address.  However, it is possible for a theatre administrator to assume that you live within a certain distance of a given point if you respond to an audition notice.
• Contact information is shared with other persons associated with your production.  each user has the option to suppress the display of e-mail address and telephone numbers.  This information is available to other members of the production after the production has closed.  Suppressing the display of your personal information is global, once suppressed it is not displayed in those prior productions.
• eProduction records information provided by your browser in our server logs.  This information includes your IP Address, browser type and version and operating system.  This information is used to analyze trends of browser use and to provide online help tailored to your browser.

Cookies:

• eProduction uses cookies to maintain state after login.  These cookies contain no personally identifiable information.

Sharing of Information:

• eProduction does not share, sell of rent personal information with other people or companies except under the following circumstances:
  • We believe it is necessary to investigate illegal activities or violations of our terms of service.
  • We believe it is necessary for a third party (Service providers, hosting providers) to investigate network problems. 
• eProduction may display targeted advertisements based on personal information or your role in a show.  eProduction does not share specific personal information with these companies, however interacting with an advertisement may cause the advertise to assume that you belong to a specific group (For instance, lighting designers in a specific zip code.)

Communications From This Site:

• This site sends a single e-mail with your username and password upon registration on this site. 
• You may opt-in to have your schedule and/or notes e-mailed to you.  Show administrators may not set this option for you.  This is intended to prevent administrators from sending unwanted e-mail announcements to large groups of people.
• This site may send announcements of events pertaining to this site.  This may include notifications of upgrades and outages, special offers for premium services or warnings of violations of our terms of service.
• For theatre organizations, this site may send notifications for billing purposes or notifications of discontinuation of service.

Notification of Changes:

• If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to the privacy statement, the homepage and other places we deem appropriate.  If we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users by e-mail and by posting a notice on our web site for 30 days prior to the use of that information.
